Topic: THE MOST BORING BOOK IN THE OLD TESTAMENT: Only it isn’t…and here’s why…
It may not entirely convince you that it is NOT the “most boring book” on the Old Testament…and to be honest, the jury is out for me, too, on this question. However, to my surprise, here are four issues that I think are really very interesting – all dealing precisely with ideas, images, and stories from Numbers. Some controversial, but ALL are intriguing. So, I invite my Brentwood family to come along and make some discoveries with me…from the “problem with Priests”, to the discovery in 1967 of an ancient inscription on the demolished wall of an old building in Jordan, to lots of grisly violence (Hollywood would love it), we will look at a ‘Number’ of reasons (you see how I did that, right?) why the book is worth reading!!

I will focus on some of my favorite sections of the Hebrew Bible. I do request participants have with them a copy of the Old Testament.
Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
