Over the last week BPCers along with other volunteers successfully completed our Church’s annual “THANKS=GIVING” FOOD DRIVE. Some 375 bags of Thanksgiving staples, each the equivalent of about four meals, were collected, assembled and finally distributed to five local non-profits who deal directly with our most needy. Funds (food prices jumped 20%+ this year!) came from special congregation donations as well as existing church grants funds. Due to the efforts of all who contributed, assembled and drove, a number of distressed individuals and families in our community will have a holiday meal as well as know that they have not been forgotten.
