Snapshot of High School Ministry
High school youth are invited to worship with their parent anytime, or to join many of the youth for the 11th Hour Worship Experience. High School Youth Group is from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in Room 222.
There are two major high school special events. The annual High School Mexico Work Camp, and the summer Rafting Trip.
The Mexico Work Camp is held every year the week before Easter. We travel “somewhere east of Tijuana” to build homes in partnership with Amor Ministries for those with inadequate housing. High school youth participated in this impactful mission trip over 20 years, many returning after graduation to work as sponsors alongside current youth.
Each summer, youth and sponsors travel to the Klamath river in northern California to enjoy a week of fun and fellowship in the sun. We enjoy several days white-water rafting and hiking during the day, and strengthening our relationships with God in the evenings.
Every year on Mother’s Day weekend, the youth of BPC lead all 3 services, responsible for all aspects of worship from preaching to ushering. Youth are invited to participate in regular worship services as well, especially with musical, dramatic or other artistic talents. And, youth are encouraged to volunteer in the church sound booth on Sunday mornings.
