The Giving Spirit is dedicated to providing tangible assistance to the homeless of Los Angeles in the form of “survival kits.” More than 80,000 people in Greater Los Angeles are without homes. These survival kits provide the essentials of life to those who are struggling each day for survival and spend so much of their time trying to secure basic necessities.
The distribution of the kits raises the spirits and sense of self-worth of people living without shelter, broadens community involve¬ment, and raises awareness of this critical social problem and of the importance of finding ways to restore human dignity and alleviate suffering.
