Thanksgiving Baskets
Each year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, more than 100 food baskets are gathered, assembled, and delivered as gifts of love to families served by OPCC, Common Ground, and Westminster Transitional Living Center, BPC community partners. A complete Thanksgiving meal is included in a basket and the food is donated through the generosity of the BPC congregation and Nursery School. Middle School and High School youth assist in the filling and wrapping of baskets, assisted by adults and families in the congregation who deliver food to the agencies.
This year, we will gather in Room 121 and the North Patio on Sunday, November 22. You are invited to help assemble the baskets after the 9:30 AM service, and deliver the baskets to our partner agencies between noon and 1:00 PM.
Sign-up to donate food items on Sundays on the church patio. Thank you for your gifts of food and funds and for bringing your non-perishable and frozen items* to the BPC kitchen on or before Friday, November 20. Perishable items may be left in the kitchen refrigerators on Friday or Saturday, November 20 or 21, or brought directly Sunday, November 22 by 9:30 AM.
