Mission Statement

Brentwood Presbyterian Church is a welcoming Christian faith community, joyfully celebrating God's love as known through Christ, purposefully nurturing individual and spiritual growth and gratefully serving all people.

Brentwood Presbyterian Church, founded in 1929, is a large, vibrant, caring family of faith. With more than 750 members, we offer three Sunday worship times. Sundays also feature religious education classes where seekers and believers of all ages can learn about God's never-ending love affair with humanity, as related in the Holy Scriptures. Throughout the week the church is the hub for a wide variety of programs and events to serve our membership and the community.

As a congregation, Brentwood Presbyterian Church (BPC) is committed to:

  • embracing all people on their spiritual journeys
  • growing spiritually through a personal, transforming relationship with God
  • demonstrating God's everlasting love for all people
  • acting on our boundless desire to serve and to live out our faith in Jesus Christ even as we struggle with our human imperfections

BPC is a large, growing and relatively youthful congregation. Currently, 49% of our members* are between the ages 30 and 55, 30% are age 60 or older, and 72% are married. Women constitute 63% of the membership and men 37%. Of the 580 total member households (active and inactive), 36% have one or more children, including 25 single parent-households.

* Children are not considered members unless they complete Confirmation and choose membership, usually between the ages of 12 and 17.
