Mission
The
Angel Store
Every Christmas
season, Mission organizes The Angel Store, which provides BPC members
and friends with the opportunity to support ministries working to
relieve suffering and assist people who are struggling to become
self-sufficient. Dozens of gifts are available for purchase from
BPC's various partners in mission work: you can buy a goat for a
villager in Africa; Nicaraguan pottery; a kitchen sink for the home
of a low-income family; teddy bears for children in the court system
- and the list goes on.
When you purchase
a gift on someone's behalf, you receive a lovely card with a handwritten
description of the gift. Both you and the individual receiving the
card feel the joy of bestowing a truly meaningful gift. So if you're
struggling with what to give the person who "has everything," or
if you want your gifts to reflect the true spirit of Christmas,
The Angel Store is the place to do your Christmas shopping.
The Angel Store,
which also sells crafts from around the world in support of international
artisans, is open each year in December.
For more
information, or if you'd like to join the Angel Store Team,
please contact the church office at 310-826-5656. The Angel Store
Team consists of the Gift Market Catalog co-chairs, the Craft Market
chair, and many treasured participants who help with setting up
the store and handling sales (tallying orders, writing gift cards,
etc.).
