Brentwood
Presbyterian Church Nursery School
The BPC Nursery
School, established more than 50 years ago, is located on the church
campus. Although the Nursery School is connected to BPC, it is not
a religious school, and children of any religion, race, or ethnic
origin are accepted and admitted on a non-discriminatory basis.
Prospective applicants do not have to be church members, but members
are given priority in the admissions process.
The BPC Nursery
School is open Monday through Friday, eleven months a year, and
offers a morning and an afternoon program for children aged 2 years
9 months through 5 years. Children in the morning program can also
enroll to stay until 3:00 p.m. on "Stay Days," which are offered
Monday through Thursday.
The BPC Nursery
School recognizes that for many children, nursery school is their
first experience outside of the home, and so strives to create an
atmosphere where the children experience warmth, love and stability.
The curriculum is concerned with the whole child - his/her physical,
emotional, social, cognitive and linguistic development during these
formative early years. The primary goal of the school is to give
each child an opportunity to develop a positive sense of self and
comfortable, appropriate relationships with his/her peers and adults.
Parents interested
in the Nursery School are encouraged to submit applications as early
as possible. Children are enrolled in the following order of priority:
1st priority - church members; 2nd priority - siblings; and 3rd
priority - date of application.
The BPC Nursery
School also operates a Parent/Toddler Program for toddlers who are
at least 18 months old and walking. Children attend once a week
with a parent, and the program is offered Monday through Friday,
from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., September through June and for six weeks
over the summer.
